Wisconsin has more seating for volleyball but their facility is even worse. I went to Chapel Hill and TCU to volleyball games much nicer facilities. However I didn't bother to buy tickets ahead of time because they were putting in only 1500 to 2500 fans in an 8000 seat arena. They have spent a half billion dollars on football facilities. It's time to demolish and replace the barn and pav.

It appears both Kenna Wucherer and Taylor Landfair are sticking around next year with the new coaching staff. Wucherer reposted a post from a Dinkytown apartment complex that said “Good luck to our future residents as they play in the sweet 16” and tagged Wucherer and Landfair. Wucherer wrote “next year 👀“ and tagged Landfair. instagram.com/stories/mckennawucherer/2988306469258259335?igshid=NDk5N2NlZjQ=Only major transfer candidate remaining in my mind is Wenaas or potentially Davis at this point. Can’t see Shaff or Booth transferring at this point. Potentially some bench players could leave, but appears the starters will largely remain intact next season. Was just coming here to say this. Wucherer and Landfair definitely staying next year if they already have a lease set up for housing. Made me more confident about most of our players staying 👍

I thoroughly enjoyed Jeff Day's previous appearance before the season started when he talked about networks lagging behind the popularity of the sport. That was very informative, and I thought about it a bunch as we saw volleyball extend its reach into the linear ESPN networks and set ratings records on BTN.

I’m glad they are (seemingly) staying. It wouldn’t make a ton of sense to transfer for most of them, they seem to have a great team dynamic and already have an elite squad. Transferring seems riskier than staying put, even with the bummer of Hugh leaving

So sad for the Gophers 😞 and the end of an incredible resurgence in Gopher volleyball with Hugh leaving. I hope the next coach takes this program even further to a national title

I loved this season. I really thought we could win this one but alas Ohio State worked hard and played their best while Minnesota faltered. Sigh. I hope these players stick together, they have some unfinished business. Go Gophers.

I hope the next coach takes this program even further to a national title I’d personally be pretty disappointed if they didn’t go with a new regime and start fresh with an external hire. Some rejuvenation seems much needed. The cupboard is full of talent and a new coach that challenges they way they think about the game and shakes up the style of play / strategy could be exactly what this program needs.

These players have a connection to Matt and Jen. If we want to keep these players together, Minnesota may have to go with a known quantity like Houk. If Houk can't keep them together then they may go outside for a new coach.

As much as I have enjoyed the McCutcheon era
I look forward to a coaching approach that recognizes that low risk = low reward come tourney time
OSU had a ton of service errors, but their SO% overcame those gifts. OSU 3 aces 14 errors MN 4 aces 2 errors I will opine that OSU was the better serving team because their service pressure led to many more points in transition

In today's environment, it is easier to re-load the talent.

Thanks for the fun year Gophers. Great team and individual performances along the way. There is some unbelievable talent on this team, but it wasn't our year.
Excited for the future of this team and a new coaching staff.
Wish List: - Renewed focus on defense. Add 2-3 transfer back row players. Landfair shouldn't be playing back row. - Retain all high-end talent, of course. Duh. - New coach. Let's roll with a new coaching philosophy and leadership. Excited to see how the players respond.
The program is in great shape, let's keep building it.
