Yep. I still think Courtney Thomas should have been left in to run the offense.

Yep. I still think Courtney Thomas should have been left in to run the offense. In a word, "no."

While I would like NE to win I do feel this is the Badgers time. I hope we get a great match. The fact NE has made to the final match is like them playing with house money. More pressure on the Badgers come Saturday.

Do you like bookends? I would love to see bookends come into play tomorrow night. The only time the Huskers have beaten Rettke was in the first match she played against us. Could we end her career with her second loss bookending those 7 victories? If the Huskers pull that off that also bookends Lauren Stivrins career - winning a Natty in her first season where she played and last year as a Husker. And it also bookends four appearances by Wisconsin in the national championship with Nebraska being the first and last team to send the Badgers home as runner up.
On the other hand, a win for Wisconsin will be a crowning achievement for a bunch of kids that have dominated the regular season for years. It will be a storybook season for whichever team comes out on top. Too bad both teams can't win this one.

PRE-FINALS PRESS CONFERENCES
Lauren, Kenzie, Nicklin, Coach Cook
Dana, Lauren, Sydney, Coach Sheffield The respect these two programs have for one another is amazing. Hearing Wisconsin’s attitude regarding the previous matches against Nebraska was also interesting: while the Huskers (particularly the fans) only see the 3-0 and 3-1 losses, the Badgers referred to it as incredible, competitive volleyball every time. I want Nebraska to win this, but I won’t be sad to see Wisconsin win either; especially after today’s pressers.

Elliott is 53, he could have 15-20 more years in the tank. Cook isn't young at 65 but also could have another 8-10 years left. At least for the next 4-5 years, his roster is insanely stacked. They're going to be loaded for the next 3-4 years and are landing top kids left and right. I doubt he leaves anytime in the next 5 years with the talent he has on board. I think he can pull a Dunning if he wins. He wants to leave the program in a good place and not have whoever takes over have to do a total rebuild job. Especially if he wants Hildebrand to take over for him--Tyler is going to be a hot commodity and won't wait forever for Cook to retire... Zero chance

Zero chance We would not want to witness another Tom Osborne to Frank Solich type hand off. The Husker football team has never recovered from Dr. Tom's premature retirement.
