My favorite thing about Nebraska, and there's a lot to choose from, is seeing Knuckles not miss a beat, switching positions and being less in the limelight this year - although true, she said she prefers DS - but to see her be such a great teammate to everyone, and in particular Rodriguez, incredible; and she's just so cool and collected, like you can pretty much always count on her.

Did Rodriguez have that big of an impact on the match? She passed well when Wisconsin unintentionally served her and defended her area quite well but there weren't a ton of balls that went her way. Most balls were targeted to the opposite side of the court or deep. Lexi had some insane digs that other liberos would not have saved. I was very impressed.

Mind blowing that Pitt took down Purdue, who beat Wisconsin twice. Have too that to my social media handles Nebraska handled Purdue twice as well. It doesn’t translate. Lol

Agree about Rodriguez, although it just goes to show the insane talent of some of these hitters, where a few times she was in pretty good position on a hard driven ball and just had no chance.

For sure. Anne Marie Hickey was on the bench and has essentially stuck with the program since graduation. Great moment for her. Sheffield has repeatedly mentioned the job Anne Marie does with stats that inform adjustments and 'choices' being made by the coaches. Britt called her out on the pre-game show today (well yesterday now) too

I agree she does represent her school and Nebraska but as someone with Hawaiian blood and ancestry who grew up in Hawaii and learned to play in Hawaii, she most definitely represents her heritage wherever she goes. As someone also with Hawaiian blood, who learned to play in Hawaii as well before moving on, we carry that and take it seriously. Kinda like how you live in Kailua yet you’re from the the Netherl…wait it’s okay. I don’t expect you to get it granny. I still love u tho. Stuck in the 80s and all. 😘 Go Wahine! Go Badgers! Go Huskers! Karen on ❤️ Nebraskans probably think she’s Hispanic. I have Hawaiian blood too. I wouldn’t choose to play in a red state for the oppressors. Just saying. 😘 No no no no no Bik do better than this post. Shame on you.

Super exciting night, but man, when your outsides hit .122, .106, and .081, it is REALLY hard to win a match

I agree. When I say best I am referring to the entertainment value of the matches and the high level of play. When two great teams face off they can bring out the best and the worst in each other. Wisconsin definitely dug in and was able to grind out both matches.

Just remember, and they lost Hart after the Marquette match, and played weaker NIU and GB squads after that, that the Badgers won their non conference matches by +20 to +30 point margins in total scores, including at Marquette and home against Baylor and Kentucky. They played really well in spurts in league play, even given the level of competition, but it was harder for them. OTOH, Demps and Smrek now know they can play well against very tough competition, and Jardine has a lot of upside. Orzol had some tough matches, but she kept working and didn't let everything fall apart when things were not going her way in some aspects.
