Tyler Hildebrand takes over at Long Beach St

I would be concerned with having a recruiting coordinator who has never done it on the women's side who is in season with the men during peak recruiting time.

Having known Nick for some years, he is as good of a coach as there is. Adding him to the coaching staff is a no-brainer. He is one hell of a recruiter, but selling guys on Long Beach is an easier job than selling girls on it.

I hope it works out. I know the men's program will be just fine with him missing time in the fall. Not sure how the women's recruiting will go without your primary guy missing. I am guessing Tyler will take more of a lead on recruiting.

I also assume this means that Nick takes a step back from his work with the boys' HP pipeline.

I'm not sure if there was ever a staff that had so much national and international experience. This is going to be a very interesting staff to watch. Go Beach.

That's a great addition to their staff. Looks like the Beach will be headed on an upward trajectory.

This is a good hire. Wish I could make it to the meet and greet this weekend, but alas. I keep getting more and more excited for this team.

I am really looking forward to the coaching staff's meet and greet this Friday. Should be interesting and exciting to hear their goals for the program and possibly how they will achieve them. Actually the most fun at these events is casually mingling with the coaches and players. Should be a fun day with a big men's volleyball match right after.

Didn't Hill started as a beach player at Pepperdine before switching to indoor?

if you saw KTLA last night, you would know from the helicopter view, that the 3 wise persons of Volleyball (Karch, Misty, and Paul Sunderland) were seen arriving to said marsh area bearing Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh to be left therewith, and then proceeding to carry him with along a procession via the strand below Ocean blvd to the Barrett Athletic Administration @ LBSU to his new office suite, with a view overlooking some muddy untended grass area between the walk path and a corroded storage shed.

College Beach Volleyball wasn't even a thing when Hill first got to Pepperdine.
