dang… gotta think one of Hiapo or Hodge gets an HM, no? Lydia Grote could get a nod. struggling to think of a beaver rn… Balyko? Hodge's in-conference numbers are probably good enough right now for HM on a team w/o other nominees (3.26 kps, .250). Grote is hitting under .100 in conference; that would be a big leap but they do want to spread the wealth around and she is talented. Vernon has the best numbers for OSU right now. we’re playing her six rotations now too so hopefully her digs and aces per set numbers go up too

It’s mind-boggling that Oregon has not had a libero of the year, given the players we’ve had at the position. It's a fairly new award for the PAC. Lots of PAC schools haven't had a LOY yet.

Yes, but Amanda Benson was the best libero in the PAC for a couple of seasons without getting it, and while Hentz, Hagglund, and Fleck are stiff competition, Nuneviller, Jacob and Murphy had some VERY, VERY good years at the position.

PAC-12 LOY recordbook:
2011....Natalie Hagglund, USC 2012....Natalie Hagglund, USC 2013....Natalie Hagglund, USC 2014....Cassie Strickland, WASH 2015....Taylor Formico, UCLA 2016....Taylor Formico, UCLA 2017....Morgan Hentz, STAN 2018....Morgan Hentz, STAN 2019....Morgan Hentz, STAN 2020....Zoe Fleck, UCLA 2021....Zoe Fleck, UCLA
Basically the way it works is that the coaches decide some player is the best libero and then that player wins every year until she graduates (or goes to Texas). Then the coaches decide some new player is the best libero.

Start to finish the announcers could not stop talking about Hagglund or Hentz during their era.

Does Taylor Formico have any famous relatives?

figstats needs to add in the Stanford vs. UCLA/USC matches (they were originally scheduled to be on different days, that will at times mess with figstats)

Oregon State coach, Mark Barnard, to Retire at the end of the 2022 Volleyball Season.
Wonder if this was solely his choice, or offered to retire as he was going to be let go. Either way it is the right move.

Either way it is the right move. I would say...and even wager...that Barnard is going away with a "don't let the door hit your derriere on the way out" kind of scenario. Those claims of alleged abuse combined with his non-sterling reputation in the VB world makes this an easy out for both sides. The accusing SAs may be gone, but old dogs....
