I hope the other Europeans stay longer than one year. If the trend of one and done international players, Robyn might just give up on recruiting them. It takes so much work to get them here and if they don't stay long enough to try and make it work, it would feel like a waste of time. Maybe UH need to recruit closer to the US. Go to Canada, South/Central America, Puerto Rico, etc... True. It would be interesting to see how long Hanna would have stayed had there not been covid. But at least in her case, she went pro. Same thing with Europeans on the men's side (if they leave early). Hawaii would be tough since the weather and culture are so different. Maybe if there are so many Europeans, you need one on the coaching staff. Maybe having Angelica would have helped. Charlie Wade definitely benefits from having Milan Zarkovic on staff. What ever happened to the Brazil pipeline. But even Shoji didn't really have any Europeans after some time (maybe losing them to other programs, maybe just not wanting to process paperwork as someone mentioned??). But Hawaii being a midmajor. Definitely need to get some top notch recruits, develop others and have some internationals to compete with the big dogs!

I wonder if she’ll end up at BYU since I heard they were recruiting her too?

Leo follows Florida, either she likes their program or would like to play there. I have a feeling she left because she wanted to play full time and she was not getting that. Honestly I don’t feel Hawaii lost out, her blocking wasn’t that great and she really needs specific sets to make it work. Hopefully another school will be able to work that out and work with her because I think she’s a great defensive player.
I think Tiff stays, I’m just really hoping that Annika Stays!!!!

John Cook said that Nebraska stopped recruiting international for those very reasons and the fact that if they have a good year, pro teams are on their doorstep with offers and they cannot collect NIL money from US entities.

where can we see this transfer portal? The Transfer Portal isn't for everyday normal people to look at. It's for the coaches to look at

IMO= If you get put into match and can't produce time after time, maybe it's a good idea for her to move on.Her defense is pretty good, but her offense not so . I actually thought she was starting to produce when Westerberg replaced her permanently. She had two solid hitting games in a row. Imho she can get a P5/Top 25 school. They are going to look at her tape and see her potential. That probably what led to her transfer. Why would she get subbed after getting FOW honors?

I’m not saying that coach used her too little but every player wants to be out there more than not. I’m also sure that watching her peer, Orzol, compete (and ultimately win) for a title in front of 18,000+ people must’ve impressed something on her as well.

Always sad to see a Wahine transfer out, regardless of the reason. Best wishes to her and I hope it works out well for her. The silver lining of course is that a scholarship opens up and that could make things interesting.

one thing i want the team to work on is more aggressive serving. would love to see lang work on a jump float, and amber and riley develop a hybrid.

I’ll follow her play wherever she goes, I hope she gains confidence as a hitter and maybe a better connection she needed because she did hit some hard balls.
