Whelp, that didn’t go the way I wanted it too. And of course you’re right. No problem. It's easy to get guards confused with centers, much in the way that liberos are often conflated with outside hitters in this sport. It’s just easy to be confused. I like it as a perpetual state. It’s my comfort zone. |

If it’s any consolation there are no positions in basketball anymore. Tall players who shoot 3’s and shorter players who shoot 3’s. Lol You we’re just ahead of your time.

Have to wonder where Skinner goes with things now. First you lose Fischer which doesn’t seem like a huge loss at the time, but now that Madi is in the portal (hoping she changes her mind lol) we’re left with basically 2-3 current pins in Rutherford, Lamb, and possibly Tealer moving over. We also only have one setter on the roster so we’ll have to fill the backup void as well.
So now we’re down to 8-9 scholarship players and are extremely thin on the outside. I assume we’ll hit the portal hard, but if you’re bringing in 3-4 transfers from other programs that’s not healthy for a program imo. Younger players could be upset that their spot they expected to fill is taken by an upperclassman from another program and recruiting could be harder since they look at all the transfers coming in/leaving.
Tough off-season for UK so far to say the least and Skinner needs to get this cleaned up.

Does losing Skinner, suck? Yes. So what?
Did the athletic department decide to cut the sport of volleyball because she’s leaving? NO
Did it suck for Texas when Lexi Sun left? Yeah. So what.
All I know and care about is that since Craig came in…UK volleyball has been a winning program and will continue to be one.
I’m afraid PSU will come in and poke Craig.
As long as he’s in charge. We’ll be fine.

Surely this is for personal reasons and not volleyball. She was set to play 6 rotations and be the vocal point (really already was) of the the offense. Just doesn’t make sense to me but that college sports today.

So has anyone heard any news about who were after in the portal and bringing in to replace Cramer? A lot of question marks for next year and still would love to know what went into Madi deciding to leave the program.

Would seem crazy to leave for “almost” any other job. |
