It’s amazing to me, how great Penn State wvb has been and how few girls from PA have been actual on-court contributors. Maybe a few defensive players and even fewer who could play at the net. Makes it even more impressive what Russ was able to do. Just not any big, athletic girls in PA? There have been some but they haven't been top 25/top 10 program material. I don't have the numbers but there are more girls club players in the midwest regions than the Keystone region for club - so it's a numbers game in a way. If that makes sense. Adding on, PSU did get some great NJ players - Lauren C, Scott, Aiyana, Reed - some of which people said why is he taking them and they were studs!

This PSU squad is really hitting it's stride and playing hard for each other heading into this Thanksgiving weekend.
Markley has arrived and really starting to take big rips on the ball.
Weatherington is just destroying balls and probably needs to see more action.
All of this will free up Kash($$) to do her thing when called upon. She is still streaky but that is ok with a more well rounded offense emerging. When she is on....go to her. Let her serve 2nd time thru and especially when up.
Both middles are really fast and finding the floor consistently. They were very very good last weekend.
The team defense and singular plays really can frustrate teams and I love seeing this tenacity.
Grimes was terrific this weekend and a bit overlooked imo. So solid.
The B1G is the B1G .....any given weekend. The PSU needs to prepare and continue to play hard and can take 2 wins this weekend and should move past Minnesota in the B1G standings and AVCA rankings.
Energy is flowing in the right direction for this group.
