Last night was not beautiful volleyball for sure but good teams need to win ugly too. I am pleased that the team found a way to win and sweep ND.
The program culture Tyler is building should really help this team grow and hopefully the program’s goals will be met sooner than later. The fans are slowly coming back and hopefully by conference we will see large crowds. Would love to see the players rewarded with good fan support year one.

Tough match for the Beach on Friday vs Cal Poly. Their preseason records is not reflective of this team's ability and they are getting healthy at the right time. I expect this match will be tight especially if the Cal Poly fans come out to support their team, they usually do. I believe Poly's big block will cause LBSU some problems but I also believe LBSU's quick offense will cause Cal Poly a bunch of problems too. LBSU's setter and floor defense should be the difference.
I watched Bakersfield for a few sets and they look very scrappy on defense. That usually frustrates teams so this match maybe a little tighter than many believe.

will be quite a boisterous crowd for Beach & Poly I think this will be the most difficult Beach conference road test. While Hawaii will of course have more sheer # of fans. the Poly gym is the most compact Big West gym, and loud. First home game so will be a big crowd, on Cancer awareness night, Poly's own Brooklyn Burns was battling cancer this year. Both teams will be amped up. Top two blocking teams in the conference, and both against solid SOS. gopoly.com/news/2022/9/20/womens-volleyball-mustangs-return-home-to-open-big-west-play-this-week.aspx

never thought this team would down 1-3 now, they play better at pre season (at least IMO), not sure if it is becasue no one know how they play, or other temas just trying new things. just wondering what Kim Hill's role is? is she responsble for training the pins? i think the OH is part of the problem for the Beach, if they can get Morgan going, everything seems easier. and it looks like the team may not be ready to play the fast tempo the coaches want. hope they can play a good match against Hawaii and gain some confidence back
