Talked to Kamaile Hiapo a couple of days ago about playing in PVF. Talked to Rita today about PVF, Kamaile, Kendra Dahlke, and a bunch of other stuff. Talked to 2025 commit Maya Flemister last week. Will have a few things out soon, but I found it really interesting that Rita said Kendra is going to play opp for the San Diego Mojo in PVF. sounds like it’s time for you to follow a new team. Sorry Kim! I put this response on the wrong comment. Didn’t mean this to point to you. My apologies.

I’m curious, what do yall think the odds are that Sofia stays at AZ? Very low. Rita said she believes it's a very distant 3rd option, particularly because of the scholarship issues.

Arizona has a new athletic director, Desireé Reed-Francois, who was hired away from Missouri. Leaving an SEC school for a Pac-12/Big 12 one seems a bit curious, but she's an Arizona law school alum, and Missouri apparently had been making her life more difficult. I know volleyball won't be her No. 1 priority, but having a good AD is important for the entire athletic department. Unlike Ohio State's recent hire of Ross Bjork from Texas A&M, which caused the Aggie fans to celebrate at their good fortune, the Missouri fans seem almost unanimous in their dismay to lose her. Seems like a very good hire.

I’m optimistic about the hire! you’re absolutely right that they seem really disappointed to lose her. she helped bring their football team back to relevancy so I’m here for it. she made a great volleyball coaching hire too!

Was definitely pulling for ASU! Hopefully Louisville can help her improve her defense and passing so she can go pro.

I also didn't want ASU because it would come back on Rita for losing a player to a rival with less historical success despite all the reasons it made sense for her. Probably would have helped her more long-term, though.

Is Arizona better next fall than this past year?

Is Arizona better next fall than this past year? depends on the lineup we end up running imo. Jaelyn Hodge needs to be on the right and Jordan still needs to be DS’d

Is Cisneros (sp) expected to start? I know she had an injury but from what I understand, she’s Arizona’s best pin recruit in a VERY long time

I don't think there's any chance that Jordan isn't subbed for. She has to be.
As for Jaelyn, first they need to get her off the scooter. I was at a women's basketball function on Tuesday. She was there and was zipping around.

I know she had an injury but from what I understand, she’s Arizona’s best pin recruit in a VERY long time if she doesn’t I would have very, very serious questions. the ONLY question would be if she libs like Brooke did her first season since we don’t really have a good lib at the moment. but even then I’d rather get her used to hitting against NCAA blocking. this group likely isn’t going to be making some huge tournament push. lineup should be something like Cisneros/Wilson (DS Mandotti/Wray) Johnson/Briggs (possibly Bridges or Tucker over Briggs) Heath/Hodge Mandotti or Wray in the three rotations Wilson is in, Hodge should pass for her. Wilson cannot pass at all but I like her hitting from the left and Hodge has an insane contact point from the right
