Considering the lack of notable middle blockers entering the portal, I’m assuming we are looking at possible international prospects. Anyone have a clue on who we might be looking at or if we even are?

I imagine they could look there for help... but it doesnt look like they have any connections to any of the "big" international recruiters. most of the 2023s are already committed... but there's always someone popping up in like turkey lol

Maybe we will just go with what we have this year and just wait for Adrianna Bridges for 2024.

The Beavers didn't need an opp, but he wanted to make sure she ended up somewhere he knew the coach and China Rae Crouch had just left the Arizona volleyball team due to her pregnancy. Here's my story about her recruitment and how Ron Zwerver helped her. www.azdesertswarm.com/volleyball/2021/9/2/22653327/puk-stubbe-arizona-volleyball-whirlwind-recruitment-netherlands-freshman-age

How does AZ feel about Rumel transferring to Oregon State? Was this an academic transfer, or a transfer out of dissatisfaction with AZ? Maybe because she wanted to be a pin hitter, and that wasn't going to happen at AZ, I'm assuming. Will be interesting to see her play against AZ, assuming she is a starter for Oregon State, who brought in a lot of transfers for 2023.

Looks like the roster for 2023 is shaping up. Are we done?: OH: Jordan Wilson (SO), Jaelyn Hodge (SR), Sofia Maldonaldo Diaz (SR), Sydnie Vanek (FR), Tess Fuqua (FR) OPP: Puk Stubbe (JR) MB: Alayna Johnson (JR), Nicole Briggs (JR), Journey Tucker (FR)-also OPP option S: Kasen Rosenthal (SO), Ana Heath (SO)-also OPP/DS option L/DS: Becca Morse (JR), Joy Galles (SR), Ava Tortorello (JR), Haven Wray (JR), Kaori Robertson (JR), Kylie Wong (SO), Laura Detweiler (FR), Ania Swatzendruber (DS), McKenzie Shoenhardt (FR) AZ has added some strong pieces to OH and L with Wilson and Morse. Though, MB and S spots ? in terms of strength, and in injury to Morse would really weaken the back row. Let's hope for an injury free season. But does AZ really need 9 DS options?! Maybe some other schools could use them more lol.

I thought she might have a shot at MB simply because Arizona is so thin there, but others who saw more of her there didn't think it was going to work. Arizona could have Sofia and Jaelyn for 2 more years. Puk has 2 to play. Jordan has 3. They brought 2 more pins in this freshman class and Carlie Cisneros signs in November.

Looks like the roster for 2023 is shaping up. Are we done? Still need more depth in MB ideally: OH: Jordan Wilson (SO), Jaelyn Hodge (SR), Sofia Maldonaldo Diaz (SR), Sydnie Vanek (FR), Tess Fuqua (FR) OPP: Puk Stubbe (JR) MB: Alayna Johnson (JR), Nicole Briggs (JR) S: Kasen Rosenthal (SO), Ana Heath (SO)-also OPP/DS option L/DS: Becca Morse (JR), Joy Galles (SR), Ava Tortorello (JR), Haven Wray (JR), Kaori Robertson (JR), Kylie Wong (SO), Laura Detweiler (FR), Ania Swatzendruber (DS) AZ has added some strong pieces to OH and L with Wilson and Morse. Though, MB and S spots ? in terms of strength, and in injury to Morse would really weaken the back row. Let's hope for an injury free season. But does AZ really need 8 DS options?! Maybe some other schools could use them more lol.
I updated the roster on the OP to rumel though, yeah middle wasn’t working out and we’re LOADED on the pins so

With the depth OSU added from transfers, no guarantee that Rumel will start at OSU either, but she will be in the running to get playing time.
