I'll be pleasantly surprised if both ASU and Arizona can muster up a non-conference schedule and enough wins to make the tournament. The Arizona schools being in contention can make up for the expected drop of Utah.

I wish I could give good commentary on ASU but if they don’t lock in on their serve and pass, it will be a LONG season.

So the transfer and other libero fr bench were sharing playtime and getting used to being in the game with fellow teammates. I hope the passing improves as well and they can perform in the fall!

Wins over Stanford and UCLA, Going 5 sets with Louisville, Washington, Oregon, WSU…… they don’t have to improve their passing that much to end up with a solid record.

I’m really looking forward to the ASU UofA match this year as both teams in my opinion will be in contention of going to the tourney. However, I think UofA takes both matches. Especially if ASU can’t clean up its serve receive and can’t get Jeter the ball.

I wanted to, but I was covering softball this weekend. Hard to believe that we're just a little over 4 months until the season starts.

To follow up on uofastudent's post, here's my quick write-up about the contract extension. I haven't had time to talk to Dave yet, so no new information, but I do have historical information that he's told me before. Not surprised that he signed the extension. He obviously wants to try to get back to the tournament with this group and he wants to see them through their playing careers. His contract was due to expire after the upcoming season, if I remember correctly.
