I can’t help but to think that Tyler Hilderbrand may just change the Big West’s level of play with the program he is building there. This is going to be a good boost for the conference, and I feel like maybe we’ll see more high profile players in the future wanting to join teams in the conference. This definitely has the makings of a trickling effect for better play in the Big West.

well, Hawaii & Poly should have some high level competition in play to sell for recruiting
would love to have some big ball matches back that Beach & Hawaii have had in the past and that Beach and Poly had during the peak days of Stevenson's tenure

Wow Beach is pulling in some big players. Are they? bringing in a past all Big 10 frosh and a past all Big 12 frosh, and a top 40 recruit (and yes the setter is still unproven in D1) & yeah, no one is suggesting these are 3 first team AAs, but these are definitely solid potential 1st team Big West caliber type athletes coming from top 10/25 programs, adding in to a core that already had two first team Big West players, and a couple players with some raw athleticsm who didn't play last year if Hawaii had signed these players, the Hawaii thread would be 100 pages alone about it

One thing in the BWC's favor today was the transfers referenced above. BUT, this conference was the one hardest hit by the pandemic the past two years. In 2019, it was the ninth-highest RPI conference. Quite a ways to come back here; it'll be interesting, though, to see CSULB contend with Hawai'i and Poly in the future.

Wow Beach is pulling in some big players. Are they? Callie from Nebraska, Zayna from BYU- who was a top recruit coming out of high school, and Nembhard from K-State.

Can’t forget UCSB as well, they have a lot of talent returning this fall and was the only team to beat Hawaii twice this past season.
