The CRS is primarily through DVSport, if that's what this is getting at.
The cameras within the system could be any number of things:
- A Ring doorbell
- A toaster
- leftover Costco pizza
- The Nokia 3310

Not exactly REPLAY. It's REVIEW. Of course they use video replays to do the review and a replay is one of the possible outcomes of the review...
CRS is short for the Challenge Review System

There are conferences that use dvSport for basketball but don't have replay for volleyball. |

Echo Replay is a company who is trying to get into the market. Much better FPS in their replay and teams can run it on an IPad. The hardware is around $7500.

I'm pretty sure there are also conferences that require CRS, but don't specify what system the member institutions have to use. So some may use DVSport, others may use Echo, others may have a few moms in the stands with shaking iPhones.
Frankly from what I've been exposed to, the limitation is coming less from the platform schools are using but just the framerate and resolution of the cameras.
NCAA really needs to mandate minimum framerates.

I know the MAAC doesn't have replay during the regular season for any of their schools. |
