I know some schools players have arrived for summer 1 session. I know many others come in July. When is the date for official preseason, with coach practice? The past few years has been weird with Covid. August 9th

The schedule or the fact that Loyola Chicago moved to the A-10? I liked Loyola in the MVC. Just from a volleyball standpoint. Though it will be nice to see them challenge Dayton and VCU. Sometimes I am resistant to change illogically though. As for their schedule, I like it, except scheduling both Northwestern and Rutgers. Maybe NW can surprise.

I don't know about volleyball, but I think it was a logical move for Loyola Chicago due to men's basketball, geography, culture fit, etc. So, really, for all the most important factors that a non-football school would be considering when thinking about changing conferences.

They lost in 5 at K-state last year, and they get them at home this year. They play 4 big 10 opponents, and going 2-2 vs them would not totally shock me. I like the schedule. As for the conference, I think Catholic schools with national ambitions belong in the Big East or the WCC. A-10? eh? There really isn't a big difference in going all the way to URI and GW for automatic 3-set wins vs going all the way to Providence and Georgetown for automatic 3 set wins, but it seems like it gives sister Jean and friends more of an opportunity to trash talk.

I'm pretty sure Loyola Chicago wants to be in the Big East someday, and moving to the Atlantic 10 is a step toward that goal. But even if they don't get a Big East invite, the A-10 makes more sense for them than the Missouri Valley Conference did.

Odd that the Utah Tech schedule has the initial tournament at NAU, but Michigan has the tournament in Ann Arbor. I would assume that it will be in Michigan.
