Oregon usually puts together a good non-conference schedule for RPI purposes but I question inviting UC Davis for a home tournament. They were 11-20 last year, is there really much upside there? I'm sure they are going to Florida to play Miami Florida as they will likely have a nice record to boost RPI, but South Carolina could end up being a bad team to play. They had a losing record last year and they lose their two best players. Texas invited them to Austin, too, along with University of Denver, and I had the same question about it you did. Everyone else on the schedule so far (I think there’s one more non con to be revealed, but it’s hard to know for sure) should be really good for RPI purposes. Then there’s UC-Davis.

You still can't get me to drop -Brooklyn from LIU. Go Blackbirds. I do that too, always LIU-Brooklyn. I need a drastic change in order to adapt. Ok, at least I know they are the Sharks now even though I don't like it. But like Dixie State to Utah Tech? That I can work with. And for the Ragin Cajuns, they will always be Louisiana-Lafayette or ULL to me. On the softball side, they will repeatedly insist to an annoying degree that they are UL or Louisiana. Nope, not for me. Most of those are just branding changes. If I remember correctly, Fort Wayne dropped their affiliation with IU, which necessitated the name change.

That's weird how they list the "location" for their road non-con tournaments. They say that they are taking place on the campus of the team that they are playing, not the host of the event. For week 4 they are playing in the "Southern Utah Invitational" which strongly implies that the host is SUU, but Dixie has this listed as an unnamed home tournament on their own schedule. Dixie is also located in Southern Utah, but it's odd that they'd name their event after a rival school that is also participating in the event. Now Southern Utah says that they are hosting the games. Maybe the Thunderbirds are co-hosting with Dixie? I dunno... Well I was hoping that the lone remaining participant could straighten things out, when their schedule drops. Nope. Idaho State: isubengals.com/sports/womens-volleyball/scheduleIt looks like a co-hosted tournament to me. Friday: UNLV vs. Idaho State (at Southern Utah) UNLV at Southern Utah (at Southern Utah) Idaho State at Dixie State (at Dixie State) Saturday: Idaho State at Southern Utah (at Southern Utah) UNLV at Dixie State (at Dixie State) Seems to me Idaho State will play one match at Southern Utah in the morning and then play at Dixie State at night. They're not that far apart. Occasionally you will a team play at two different schools in one day, given that they are like an hour or less away I guess would be the limit?

Are we really all that incapable of changing with times... PFW dropped the "I" like 4 years ago mate (sigh) I did not know that. Why did they drop the I? Is IUPUI still IUPUI? It will be hard for me not to refer to them as IPFW. I will try hard for you. I just wanna let you know how much I appreciate your effort! The only thing that PFW still holds place near campus is the IU school of Health Sciences, but this is technically Indiana University Fort Wayne, where as the rest of the school is Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Not bad for Long Beach State. Nebraska and Oregon are good, obviously. Notre Dame and Boise State aren't bad. The home and home with LMU might be okay. LMU looked good in the first half of the season last year, but they were hit by some unfortunate injuries.
