Hiiiiiiii. Long time lurker, infrequent poster buttt my name is Taylor and I am a board member of NAGVA (North American Gay Volleyball Association) and another board member and I have started a casual interview series where we bring on current/former LGBTQIA+ volleyball personalities to share their journey, help bring visibility to our community, and to help foster a safer environment for Queer Athletes/Coaches/Officials/etc. So far we've had Jaylen Jasper, Sam Lewis, and yesterday Aiko Jones joined (along with a special appearance from her amazing fiance '!) We have a half dozen more folks on our docket but are always looking for more guests to join us! Hiiii resurrecting this post from the dead to announce that we are having the one and only Haleigh Washington on our show next Friday! We'll be interviewing her at 12:30 pm pacific, 3:30 pm eastern, 9:30 pm Italian time (:

Haleigh was awesome! I loved the outpouring of respect for Italian club teammates/rivals: Ebrar and Wolosz got specifically name-dropped. Also glad to see she's excited about Lanier and wants her in the NT gym!

TayRey any chance you'll be posting this in podcast/audio-only format (e.g. Spotify)? I'd love to give a full listen but Instagram can be a fit finicky if I'm in transit or on the subway.

They recently covered Alfee Reft and the Vanderbilt coach (forgot his name). But they do need to cover the rest because there are quite a few: Carol and Ann, Fabi, Ben Patch, Paola Egonu, Maique Reeis, Douglas, etc. |
