Is this efficiency or kill percentage? If the latter, then this is really bad relative to the latest CL matches... Efficiency. I dont think its fair to compare Herbots or Khalia to any of the CL outsides. They all have one if not two more attacking options to take swings. Plus, I would very much guess 15-30% of these "attacks" are tips cause of the setting. And that’s why Firenze/Bergamo are not CL level teams. Very difficult to rely on one player to take such a high percentage of the teams overall swings and be very successful. I don’t think a majority of the tips/rolls are as much setting issues as they are established block issues. |

Ugh..... I'm still trying to figure out everything that is going on, but I'm not much of a fan of these statements. There is too much "She should have opened up to us". "teamwork". "We would have done something different if we only knew." There is no need to protect yourself when something like this happens. No one is blaming the team, yet they seem to no understand how defensive these statements are. |

They'll play a best of three series... the two winners will play in a pool phase against the losers of the QFs for a Challenge Cup bid. its pointless and its just further dumb games to wear down the athletes... they do not need this many matches. |

This particular format (playoffs matches + pool phase + final) is dumb. But I like the idea of playoffs matches for placements (many leagues have it). I'd adopt playout matches too. About wearing down players, well that's a problem for NT players. You should protest against international federations and the stupid long NT season that forces leagues to compress their seasons and doesn't give NT players any time to rest (whereas all non-NT players have 5 months of vacation). |

Protects athletes from too much game time and also gives players lower on the roster a chance to show up. |

Top 8 qualify to the playoffs - the ones eliminated in QF play for 5th place = Challenge Cup Qualification - the ones eliminated in SF play for 3rd/4th place = CL/CEV Cup Qualification Bottom 4 play a playout. That’s a pretty good format, imo. Ask NT players what they think about NT schedules. And ask non-NT players what they think about being inactive for 5 months. NT season is just too long (like no other sport) and dumbly scheduled/ruled. Sure, now it’s better than 20-25 years ago, when NT competitions used to overlap leagues. So what? We have to say thank you and take a bow to FIVB/CEV/& Co.? Lol, no way. A max 3 months long NT season (= 7-8 months long leagues’ season plus at least 1 month of rest for everybody) would be great. Unfortunately vb is tyrannized by international federations… |
