Sounds like a political stunt to me. The article said no other hospitals in KC have that same fear. I guess we’ll see if those other doctors get prosecuted over a non-existent law. And for the record, I am completely and totally for Plan B being legal. So I’m with you on this one. If it’s ambiguous, I guess they should clear that up. But the suggestion that the law could be interpreted to mean pregnancy starts at the woman’s last menstrual period is bizarre. You nailed it here. Contraception just prevents an egg from being released or makes it highly unlikely to embed in the wall of the womb (thanks Wiki). And it’s pills. I have zero sympathy for people who claim they can’t figure out how to get pills. There will be entire cottage industries standing up to get plan B and plan C pills to people in every state in the nation. They can’t stop it. So, anything that can be done with a pill is OK in your book and you advocate smuggling drugs to break the law. Got it. The abortion pill is just a pill. Abortions have been performed with pills for thousands of years. BTW, plan B prevents a fertilized egg from implanting. States are already saying that is illegal. The whole point of a right is to allow you to decide what is reasonable for you, not to have a right or left wing nut job ideologue dictate it to you. |

I will second the who the f do you think you are to draw the line, and point out that nobody gives a flying f what you think, not the least the SCOTUS that just trampled on a women's right to decide where that line is for herself, and the (mostly white male) legislatures of backwater states that are falling all over themselves in a race to the bottom to ban abortion pills, plan B and contraception. Where you think the line should be drawn should matter to one and only one person, you, but the right to make that decision for yourself has been stripped from you in a large number of states. To say you can just break the law, is to exert the kind of privilege that rich white Republicans have always held for themselves while denying it for the poor, the immigrant and their slaves. Here's another delusional person who blames white men for everything. Please just stop. You sound ridiculous. Also, a black man and woman voted against it so, what exactly are you talking about, racist? |

So, anything that can be done with a pill is OK in your book In my book, taking a pill (even plan C) is not abortion. That's how my book works. So no, I don't care even an iota that any woman in any state that has banned abortion, mails off for a plan C pill, and it arrives at her home. Whatever state she lives in will be entirely, utterly powerless to stop her. The whole point of a right is to allow you to decide what is reasonable for you I have decided it is reasonable for me that I have a right to use your house and car, any time I want! Yeah, that definition of a right is absurd and silly. |

What I want to know is when they are going to remove any restrictions on members of the public carrying firearms into the SCOTUS building. I mean, if we all have a right to self-defense everywhere else, surely they don't want to intrude on our right to self-defense right there in their chambers.

There's no reason you shouldn't be permitted a RPG or TOW with you. SCOTUS argued the wording and emphasized the last phrase specifically--it CLEARLY says arms and that category includes rockets, grenades, or if you don't mind the weight, maybe a good ol' M-60. |
