If Stucky doesn't block a ball I think vup and I are going to tie..Nevermind, going 4. If Stucky gets a block I win 3-2, if not I lose 2-3. Oh. My. Gosh. I had a 4-1 lead heading into today. I knew some of my numbers wouldn't hold (Melville on blocks, Barrett on digs mainly), and I even got lucky with Briggs only putting up 1.67 on digs. Every one of my players today (except Holland), not only didn't hold, but put up numbers (much) below their averages. Ugh. Eazy will be me 3-2. Good game!  I'll have to take a moral victory on this one, because I think my team played pretty darn well overall. |

all numbers are updated on the scoresheet except Isanovic's. Dotson went 5 and only had 1 block.
Isanovic needs 4 more blocks for bic to win blocks if ASU goes 4, and needs 5 if it goes to 5 sets. It looked scary because Isanovic had 2 in the first set.
Otherwise, I will win 3-2.

These are the final numbers. About 0.5 dig/set margin, 0.4 blk/s margin, and ~1.0 assists/s margin. Very close match overall. Kills were actually much closer than final numbers indicate. Happy to escape 3-2. |

Aces/blocks were both decided in the final match. Couldve gone either way. (Farrell still has to play, but her numbers wont matter) |

Ok, if avid and Trojan are just gonna win 3-2, I can be ok with 3-2 as well.... I'm just salty.
It’s insane that I get a golden opportunity for a 4-1, 5-0 win and my team just poops. I honestly just can’t believe Clothier could go an entire match and have 0 kills.
Meanwhile, last week, Avid got an additional point because of, checks notes, the difference of 1 kill.
Like, why can’t my team catch those breaks.

The thing with the, “I would have beaten Team X, Y, Z if I had played them instead,” is that, my roster selections for this week are based on my opponent. If I had played Team X, then my roster might look different, and so would theirs. Just sayin’ 🤷♂️

ok so there is no confusion, Fairbanks looked like a true 6 rotation S/OPP this last match against Georgia Tech, so she's back as an OH on my roster for this upcoming week.

At this point it’s gonna come down to Caitie Baird whether I get a point off of ay2013 or not. We shall see what happens with Baird. I still think Baird will push you over the top in kills. she needs to average about 4.3 kills per set this match, which is very doable. Digs is probably out of reach, she'd have to average over 5, which Is way above her average. I haven't seen the scoreline yet. I'd have felt a lot more comfortable if Johnson put up her average today, but she was pedestrian. |
