Re bonus points you'd be closer to 1st! it adds a layer of complexity to the scoring. You could play to win against your opponent OR against the league....or some combination thereof. I think bonus points for something like highest team hitting percentage is more interesting than bonus points for most points in a category. That's honestly just going to hammer in the "going for 3-2" strategy Oh, I like bonus points for highest team hitting percentage. |

gonna start mentally preparing myself to go undefeated and still lose the league for next year, hopefully you support me in my effort to get bonus points integrated! I had proposed it years ago but I think we should award a point to the team that gets the most in each category every week. Now that we have a group scoring template, accuracy for which teams actually got the most per week would be more streamlined. some other possible quirks to make next year unique - a combination of per set and per match scoring (we'd know in advance which weeks are going to be scored per set and which per match) Also, lets add a transfer requirement to the full roster and perhaps mandate either a freshman/transfer is always on the active roster? I am in favor of bonus points or other new quirks. Best of 7 categories? Add team hitting % and SEs (inverse) as categories, as examples. |

avid 2.0 and I have the same amount of points and set record but i have 3 more overall losses. Kingsley has the same record as me but has *7* SEVEN less points. That’s insane. gonna start mentally preparing myself to go undefeated and still lose the league We may not be able to beat ay but the rest of us will try to knock down their points as much as we can |

Just some random opinions: -Bonus Points: I don't really like bonus points, for the reason donut pointed out. I don't like rewarding people who throw categories just to load up and get a bonus for it, which I think would happen (3-2 winners for example). I do like the scoring system. -Roster: I'm in favor of larger rosters (16 players maybe?) and not in favor of the free sub, I like pre-determined subs. -I still would be open to a 'wildcard' rule. Allow one player (or maybe more) from a conference/team that does not meet the standard requirements. -Hitting % has been mentioned. I thought about the kills category changing from just raw kills, and it's kills MINUS errors. This would make middles vastly more valuable (I think they're undervalued in our system). This would be a much more simple change than implementing hitting %. -Schedules: I would be interested to playing each opponent in the league twice, a double round robin. I think there is so much variance week to week and you would get a chance to beat someone who beat you earlier in the year, especially with how non-conference and conference stats can vary with schedules. You'd have to play two opponents each week, and potentially submit two different rosters, but this is how most volleyball teams play. (for example, you would play huskerpower in weeks 7 & 13 and also play ay2013 in weeks 1 & 7.) Last, I wouldn't hate going back to per match scoring, though I do think per set is more 'fair'. But if we want to be most fair then 5-setters should be counted as 4.6 sets. |

Only thing I noticed was that ay2013 has Clothier in the lineup and on the bench. Awoleye was missing and probably takes one of those spots. Let me know what it should be and I'll update the doc! |

Wanted to say thank you again for doing this. It's fun to follow the other matches so quickly and easily. I also fill in some numbers for other people when I'm able to and notice some have done that for my matches as well. I hope this continues going forward. |
