checking in, looks like no Jenkins this week, thought I didn't need 4 setters (thankfully), my 3 are crushing it so far in assists this week - currently at 42 assists with just 3 setters. I worked on the spreadsheet some (had to update formulas for Lolo and Logan to capture the third match properly). I don’t have my computer with me but it looks like you (or someone) put 6 assists for LoLo today when actually it was 6 aces…. Unless your setters can turn it around tomorrow or something crazy happens with digs, I’ll win at least 3-2 this week. |

So I'm camping in California, and everyone is Powerball crazy. It got me thinking about a way to infuse additional points scoring opportunities for Fantasy but that also didn't just allow for manipulation (i.e chance plays a big role)
Proposal: Two additional bonus points are awarded each week based on the college team that scores the highest in two randomly selected weekly categories.
How it would work: In addition to the 14 drafted players, we also draft 3 eligible teams for the bonus pool (the draft would include these three teams). So in addition to my 14 players, I'd also have on my fantasy roster Washington, Minnesota, and UCF. Each week, I submit two of those three teams into the bonus points pool. Each week two random categories are drawn to receive bonus points - say kills and digs. If the teams I selected scored the most in that week, I'd get those bonus points.

Just gave it a try and it worked. vballfan17, I also fixed the formulas for your substitution of Blossom for SKT. I’ll do my sub of Kuehl for Jones as soon as we confirm she’s out for the week. You mean my sub of Fairbanks for SKT? Right. I’ll double-check all the formulas on our tab - the existing one didn’t even have Blossom in for you at all. |

Right now I show close battles in digs and aces. Kills and blocks could go down for me today. Depending how the day goes, it could be anywhere from a 4-1 win for you to a 5-0 win for me. |

I’m assuming that Jones doesn’t play against Iowa today, but even with that sub of Kuehl for her, my back-of-the-envelope math shows you winning 5-0. I could possibly pull out a 2-3 loss if I get digs and aces. But that depends on Baird going off again and your players having a really bad day. |
