I'm not confident of the time line of the commitment but it is my understanding that Shannon Wells was hired after the Kiylah Presley commitment. All I remember is a Virginia alum coming to watch a Paramount match and commenting to me (in a joking manner) that Shannon had asked her to watch her to see what kind of player she had coming to the school. So either or both could have had a change of heart, as happens when a new coach is hired.

Shannon was already in place and recruited her. She committed under Shannon’s watch.

That timing doesn't line up.

Wells was hired in April of 2021. Pressley wouldn't have been allowed to have contact with college coaches until June of 2022.
