The WCC is in the market for a new commissioner, as the Mountain West poached Gloria Nevarez.
I think this is a significant loss for the WCC. Nevarez is a good commissioner, and the timing isn't great with Gonzaga openly exploring its options. Conversely, as a New Mexico alum, I like this move for the Mountain West. Nevarez doesn't have much football experience, but she's very competent, so I think she'll be fine.

All three matches are currently tied in the first set. Haha. I don't think that will last long...
San Diego v Pacific at 6's...is it stuck? Long challenge, I guess and the camera equipment is broken so they couldn't review it.

After a slow start, San Diego took the first set 25-18 over Pacific. They lead 10-5 in the second set.
San Francisco 25-23 over Gonzaga in the first. Up 8-4 in the second set.
BYU up 1-0 and tied at 16 in the second set.

The announcer has very grudgingly given out names of San Diego's senior day honorees: Blossom, Benbow, Goddard, Frohling...
Benbow is 2nd all time in digs for USD...only 15 digs away from the leader (Hunter Jennings with 1489 digs)
San Diego cruising to an 18-7 lead in the second set over Pacific. Breanna Edwards leads with 8-0-10 hitting.
Now USD is up 22-9 hitting .324 for the match. Pacific is hitting negative so far.

25-12 gives San Diego a 2-0 lead.
Saint Mary's had a brief lead in the second set, but BYU is now up 22-20. Now tied at 22.
