are we expecting too much from this team? i'm just curious as to what our expectations should be Most likely yes. Its a team with almost no international experience up against two A teams (DOM and COL), a team with starters in the Russian league (Cuba). But I also dont think they've played well and coaching could have been better. The talent is there. Honestly, I think the roster could've been formed better. Didn’t these girls graduate around 2017- 2019? Or did they not go on to play pro? If not, why are they on this roster? All the others on the senior roster? |

another question - is this squad to prepare for a-team replacements or just so we have warm bodies at these tournaments? like how is the roster picked and what's the purpose, if that makes sense

(i feel hancock would have been good here to provide some veteran leadership) but i like this roster too lol I didnt include the WCH team overlap. The timing of this event is really bad. If it was in July (when it normally is), we could've seen Brooke... which would solve like half of the problems. We probably would've seen EMP too |

Technically shabby, is what this team is.
They got Reed, Drews, Butler, White from this years VNL roster, some sorta veterans in Alhassan (who played in 2 Pan Am Cups when in college and a pro player in Italy) and Jones Perry, supposedly rising stars in Skinner, May and Samedy.
All they offer is just pain to watch, low-level volleyball

Samedy doesnt have any business being here, no offense. Someone like Taylor Mims would offer a lot more. |

I hope Ruddins and August Raskie are living their best lives rn. I'm a little sad August Raskie didn't really get any chances. Maybe I'm a little biased because I'm a fan of hers, but I thought she was our 4th best setter after the Poulter, Carlini, Hancock trio |
