King Leopold's Ghost by Adam Hochschild so i got to some pictures in king leopold's ghost and joseph conrad and heart of darkness are both covered at length in the book. a good 10 pages. have not got there yet. |

There must be some backstory to how you knew this. I thought this was today's (#270). If you had gotten today's in one guess, that's the backstory I would be interested in. I can't remember if yesterday (#269) was Iraq or Iran, but either way not surprising. Today's is still pretty surprising even at 6 guesses - I've never heard of it. |

Definitely becoming more familiar with AFrica slogging my way through Adam Hochschild's King Leopold's Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror and Heroism in colonial AFrica.
I'm finding this hard to read because I really don't like the villain. (And I enjoy history)
