Shocked/Not-Shocked. She couldn't recruit at the level of Texas/Kansas/Baylor, but did well with what she had.

I would have thought Iowa State. They made a Final Four right around then.

Iowa St. hasn't made a Final Four and they were a bottom-dweller when Fritz was hired (CJL came a couple of seasons later and built the program).

I don't think K-State should be expected to recruit at the level of Texas or even Baylor. But yeah, Kansas is a more applicable example. Granted, Kansas actually has been to a Final Four and a relatively recent one at that (2015). But still. I imagine K-State expects to be competitive with their in-state rival.

KState has a brand new VB facility about to open. Should be attractive for an up and coming coach.

Last year postseason awards were released Tuesday. Would expect this year’s list on Tuesday too.

To be honest, TCU was a shock.

To be honest, TCU was a shock. TCU rose to the bubble during conference play. Yes they had a shaky start but went 11-5 in conference with wins over Baylor, ISU, and Kansas. If you told me TCU would make the tourney at the beginning of the season, I’d surely be shocked. But watching them beat up on my Bears, they worked hard to be here.

I keep thinking "Jill Kramer" whenever I think of TCU competency.
