Both Texas and Baylor are working with teams that have less talent than previous years. Are both Eggleston (TEXAS) and Harrison (BAYLOR) enough to take these two teams to the promise land? Lol. Texas is not working with less talent than previous years. That's a curious take, curiousvolleyballdad.

Skinner and Caffey have both earned AA recognition. Then you add in the substantial improvement in the backcourt - UT's achilles heel for...well...as long as Elliott has been there it seems like. I maintain it's a curious take.

That was a fun clip. Thank you for posting it. Dog fight football! If he could get 2,000 people in that arena that place would be rocking. Very nice facility they are now playing in.

I have a dark horse player of the year in the Big 12, I think Caroline Bien may take off. Maybe she’s not really a dark horse, but if Kansas can finish 2nd in the Big12, she’ll get some votes. All the talent is at Texas, and Logan Eggleston might be the best player in the country, but Bien should be really good. I think last year was a lot dealing with 3 different setters and her being a freshman. But with Turner probably doing 6 rotations like she did in the postseason, Bien will have a better connection. If you’re doubting it, please go watch the match against Creighton last year. My god she was so efficient, her different shots, and she plays excellent back court defensive. And with CC and Mosser gone, the offense around her is a little unknown. Elnady, Sazbo, Langs should be decent, but Bien will carry a big load. Im just excited to see her growth because she is a really good player.

Lol That makes me think of the time I accidentally took too much Delsym ( trying to subdue a dry cough from allergies)before a match in Gregory. Gregory is always fun but by the third set I could have swore I was at Mardi Gras. Not recommended kids.

Im just excited to see her growth because she is a really good player. I think for her to take on some huge offensive role - she will have to attack a lot from the back row. Complicating this - she is playing in the typical Libero spot when on the back row - which is not a good place for a back row attack. Unless they try to utilize some combo plays with the front row left side hitter - does anyone try this - sounds kind of fun? They could go back to the traditional - defense center back for her in order to get attacks from the middle, but the floor defense was much more effective when Bien was in the libero position on the back row. Remember - Bien was pretty much a full time (elite) Libero in her club career. Bien is an extremely valuable player - her greatest asset may be a player that can score on the front row while being an elite defender on the back row - which means she may not get that opportunity for 5 kpg stat.
