Explain. Agree Hord did not have a good match, but could be a lot of reasons for that. they are forcing her to run the slide so often which is sometbing she’s never done in her career. Why fix something that isn’t broken Is the slide not used in international or pro play?

Why fix something that isn’t broken Is the slide not used in international or pro play? it is but a lot of elite middles that are good in front of the setter and not comfortable with it don’t bother with it. Danesi, Zehra, Folie, Carol, Rasic the list goes on

Just finished watching the Pepp game, and the setting was badddd imo. Location was all over the place; very often way too off the net for OH. Also slide connection very sporadic with Hord, no way she can be efficient like that. Whitney’s approach is frustrating to watch lowkey cause she needs a run way to approach (she exits in trans hella far) and when she ultimately ends up approaching she ends up in slightly different places. Not even this match but other matches I feel as if she is forced to tip cause the ball is too far in front of her despite it me thinking it’s a perfect set. So far I think she’s been getting by on being physical for the most part. Idk if it’s a result of setting or if she just is like this, but I think she can make major improvements if she just standardized her location/approach.
