Tennessee putting up a heck of a fight to come within 3. Several new pieces in the lineup for the Vols too.
Purdue transfer setter is definitely on with her placement but a liability on the block. Renner not playing much.
Don’t see Yim on sideline either.

Listening to the match and K. Shondell keeps talking about SEC officials not caring about ball handling. Does that mean about 2 touch calls or what does that entail?

Chinn on the right in rotation 1 is money! Purdue takes set 3 (25-18) and are up 2-1. Purdue really has two opposites in Chinn and Koch. I truly believe Chinn is more efficient on the right then she is the left. However, Koch is the better opposite. 100% agree. Koch has the arm and wow she's such a great blocker on the right.

Renner not playing much. Don’t see Yim on sideline either. Balensiefer wasn't a liability at all. She had more blocks and block touches than Renner has had all weekend. Yim isn't here. Not sure if it's an illness, injury, or something else.

Oh! Purdue wins 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-19)
Koch and Schermerhorn made all tournament. Hudson was the tournament MVP!

She went to one of those schools that's really an AAU program in disguise, and she hit from the right a LOT.

Maybe Purdue should try a 6-2,though I have no clue who that other OH would be right now 🤷🏾♂️

This is a really solid start for Purdue. All matches they were supposed to win, but opening up on the road against - what appear to be - 3 teams that will finish 1-2-or 3 in their conferences; with a win over Tennessee is good for that resume. I wasn’t sure what to expect from them - 0-3 was as likely to me as 3-0, but they did it convincingly.

I expected them to beat Tennessee, but I was surprised by how well they played in sets 3 and 4. I think this team will be REALLY good come tourney time.

Dear USA, please reference this match to see what a coach does to apply “the solution” in a timely manner to not lose a match.

Looks as though the "No calling doubles" rule from the Spring is here to stay. I was at some D2 matches this weekend and don't remember any being called

I was at some D2 matches this weekend and don't remember any being called I saw an early one called against Texas in the Ohio State match tonight. There was one called in the scrimmage against Texas in their scrimmage versus Rice, but that was a scrimmage so doesn't really count.
