Sheff pregame:
They did well blocking. Thinks they can get better - thinks they can be a dominant blocking team. Really want their style to be about physically challenging other teams. More like men's game.
Service game is part of that. Had a good match from the service line. The two top spin servers had quiet nights, but even then they force teams to waste time preparing for them. They each put different movement on the ball.
Thought the setters did well. Didn't run a lot of quicks or BR attacks as they plan to, but they went where they were scoring, and that was the OH.
Dildine pregame
GG- transition to competition has been easy, really about gradations and differences in what they provide. Interested to see her response to their scouting, and what she can add to that.
NOTE: I sometimes think Sheff responds directly to comments on VT. Maybe we just mention what is obvious and what also occurs to him, but he often appears to be deflecting specific criticism or putting it in context.
