Looks like we are getting a Chiefs-49ers Super Bowl rematch

Well, the Lions blew it. Too bad. A Detroit vs. Kansas City Super Bowl would have been great. Still the best Lions season in decades. I hesitate to call it a choke because of the lucky bounce off the face mask that turned into a 51-yd completion for the Niners, but the Lions sure had a poor 2nd half.

one game had a QB pass it to himself and run for a first down while the other had the crazy bounce off the defender's facemask right to the receiver.
I do kinda feel bad for Detroit, but I like the 49ers too, so I was good with whoever won that one.
Since there has been so much talk about blonde women that players are dating/married (T Swift, Brittany Mahomes), perhaps I should mention Brock Purdy's fiancee (at least I assume they are still engaged, I don't really keep track of that sort of thing), the former setter on the Iowa State and Northern Iowa VB teams, Jenna Brandt. I think I saw her on the stage during the trophy presentation, though I'm bad at recognizing faces (and don't know her all that well)

I sooooo wanted a Bills vs Detroit Superbowl.
And Allen is the League MVP not Jackson who continues to be terrible when it counts.
Best QB is Patrick Mahomes.

Facebook has been showing me a ton of anti-Swift posts telling me I should root for anybody except whatever team her new bf plays for. (Kansas City?) Because for some reason it would be a travesty if she is seen at the Superbowl or something. The best meme I saw: Taylor Swift: Discovered the Joy of Football; Found True Love; and her team might go to the superbowl in her first season as a fan. Does any human deserve to be that lucky? All this crap makes me like Taylor Swift more. I can't stand KC .....but darn it they take it to the level necessary. Champs until someone knocks them off or Andy Reid retires

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I didn't realize just how many Taylor Swift fans are now invested in the Chiefs and their continued success. My sister was telling me that she now knows who George Kittle is despite never watching a 49ers game entirely due to NFL exposure she gets on TikTok related to Kelce and Swift. Many Swifties also don't seem to realize that Kelce quotes the Beastie Boys after every AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl win. Hell, I'm not sure that Swift herself knew that. Her reaction to Kelce doing that after the game looked like mild embarrassment and confusion.
Edit: also, my sister wanted to give me her entirely unsolicited opinion that Jason Kelce is the "way hotter" of the two Kelce brothers, lol.

American Airlines is offering a special Flight 1989 from KC to Vegas timed particularly for Superbowl travels.
(1989 was a Taylor Swift album, named after the year she was born.)

Yeah, McCarthy seems done. Will Belichick replace him? That seems like a Jerry Jones kind of move. I was surprised that Jerry Jones brought McCarthy back for another season. But Belichick hasn't found a new job yet, so this could still happen. A scenario where Belichick is in the booth for a year and then takes over in Dallas when McCarthy inevitably fails again seems plausible.

In honor of the Super Bowl and a presidential election year, one of my favorite trivia questions:
There are five universities which have an alum who was a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and an alum who was President of the United States. What are the five schools?

Stanford (Herbert Hoover/Jim Plunkett and John Elway) Michigan (Gerald Ford/Tom Brady- extra fun because Ford played football at Michigan, too) Navy Miami University (Benjamin Harrison/Ben Roethlisberger) One more!

the political incorrect Bowl
49ers, errr mass genocide per the President of Long Beach State, who used 'unrest' of one faculty member and some students to change to those nice ol Sharks. Also, just look at your California Drives license. you are carry a depiction of a horrific racist character there....that is again per the esteemed president of Long Beach State. How it must gall her to drive her car, shouldn't she refuse to drive until it's changed, lol? And to think in the most politically correct city in the US (well maybe 2nd to Berkeley), and they don't protest is kind of funny.
Chiefs, how has that not been protested?
mass genocide rascist American's team vs. a racist depiction of defenders of Native America. how will that turn out?! Protests should abound along the strip!
