to be fair they scheduled 4 top 5 matches in a row lollll I don't think we can really say San Diego is top 5 yet, no one really knows whether their early wins are gonna end up being big wins by December. for all we know they could be without a top 10 win by then. What would it take to make you think they are Top 5? I am going to assume nothing and that's your preconceived bias that won't change no matter what they do. Because, apparently, playing a tough pre-conference schedule, showing out against good competition, and only losing to Louisville isn't enough. USD is really freaking good. |

You just hate Pitt so you don’t think they are top ten even though they looked fantastic last night beating BYU at BYU. If you’ve seen San Diego play you can tell they are top 5. They are absolutely incredible in transition and have the arms to compete with anyone and the best setter in the ncaa I just thin after 3 matches to say they are a top 5 team is too much. I don't hate Pitt just don't really like them. doesn't mean im not aware of whether or not their a top 5 team. last year they definitely were but im not convinced yet this year, like I am with many other team because the season has barely started. I just think to state that any team is definitely top 5 aside from Texas the early in the season especially with how different the top teams look is asinine nothing to do with a bias towards anyone. but we have no clue how Nebraska, Wisconsin, Pitt, Louisville, Pitt, Minnesota, OSU, Kentucky, Stanford, florida, Washington etc are gonna truly look this year. I would say the same for San Diego, it is just too early imo to say "this team is a top 5 team" because they beat a brand new Pitt team and an Ohio state team that is known to be streaky. who would've said 3 matches in last year that Louisville was gonna go undefeated in regular season? my point is we just don't know it is way too early |

Well we and the AVCA and everyone else ranks these teams weekly. So it is well more than fair to say someone is a top 5 team “right now”. That’s part of the fun.
