Wilson was really the #2 recruit? 2022 is a weak year or these recruiting rankings got it twisted. Ranking has become useless IMHO. Remember a few years ago when UCLA landed the best setter out of high school named Devon Chang? She never amounted to much at UCLA and eventually transferred to Duke. I thought Jordan Wilson did a good job against Hawaii though. She is not Skylar Fields yet but maybe her senior year, she will get there. I thought she did well from what I saw in person. Her numbers were similar to Weske but Weske is a senior and should be more experienced. Technically Chang was probably on her way to being the 5-1 UCLA setter before her injury.

Your post makes it seem like she was in the top 10.

A couple of RS/S were before her as well but I didn't count them because they never set (e.g. Jonni Parker and Fidelak) On the other hand, #38 was Alli Stumler and she did alright. 4 Nicklin Hames 8 Kylie Robinson 7 Mica Allison 24 Marlie Monserez 26 Ella May Powell 28 Gabby Blossom 39 Devon Chang

rankings of individual players don’t mean much anymore.
it just boggles my mind that usc has the #1 rated recruiting class and continues to struggle to put a consistent performance week in week out.
can’t believe they’re not even ranked anymore.

Doesn't that say something about the coach? Looking back, USC has players at every position > Hawaii, except for Igiede. And yet, Hawaii kept up on night 1 and beat them on night 2.

I think the match will be here I've been seeing glimpses of Nohea Tano when Akana hits the ball.

I think that USC upgraded at the middle this season, but yea all that talent with limited wins

That 4th set point was out looking from tv screen and it was ruled in. If Keller had remaining challenge he would have won that.

I think this USC team will surprise people. They have the talent to go far. I’m happy the Wahine won, should help with their RPI.
