All I can say is...yikes...nothing against LMU, but UCLA hitting .029 and LMU sweeping hitting .159. Although I'm not there, just yuck.

It was bad for UCLA all around. I’ve not seen a college team struggle this mightily on hitting errors. Praying Luper gets healthy.

USC and UCLA in a race to the bottom.

Obviously not having Luper is a big miss, but there should not be THIS big of a difference when she is on and off the court.
Add McKissock to the list of setters Sealy has ruined.

From what I observed against Hawaii, not that this is any big secret, Luper is the only UCLA OOS hitter that can rack up points. No Luper, UCLA is going to struggle against any decent opponent. I agree with other posters that McKissock isn't that consistent especially considering her seniority.

You cannot replace your setter every year with a new person and expect good results. This is the 4th new setter this program has had in 4 years and she is the worst. so sad

How can you be an all conference at one school and then do as badly at another. It’s not like UCLA is devoid of talent. Coaching issues maybe?

I'm sorry, McKissock was not the best setter in the ACC last year. I would have taken Vach, Dilfer, Fuentes before McKissock. She had Bergmann and Brambilla that made her lead the conference in assists/s (and got her ACC setter of the year award). GT wasn't a great blocking team which helped them rack up more kills than a team like Louisville.
Not defending Sealy by any means, trust me. Just don't think McKissock was as good as some are making her out to be.

SHE was not an exceptional setter last year, period. Regardless, UCLA is too talented to be swept by LMU, Luper or no Luper.
