IMHO, this weekend for OSU should've been a three-team tourney in Columbus with some solid teams but likely wins like Western KY and Milwaukee. Would've been a good way to make the team feel good against good competition leading into the B1G.

Isn't going to play Pitt at Pitt better preparation to play Nebraska at Nebraska in week 1 of B1G play than being less challenged at home? Not to mention, I think the pre-conference schedule pretty clearly shows JFO is more interested in preparing her team for post-season than trying to scrap out every possible conference win.

Yes, now that they are 3-3 this is easy to say. If they were coming in at 1-5, the tune may be different. When they were 0-3, there was talk of them missing the tourney.

That’s fan level talk that coaches don’t care about or bother themselves with. Coaches that think they have an actual chance to compete for a national championship don’t schedule planning to start 1-5. JFO is clearly a competitor who trusts her team to compete. That’s pretty obvious from watching her in matches and how she built the schedule.

No poll I am saying Pitt in 4. I think the Towson loss will serve as a wake up call. Pitt is a good team, I think OSU is due to come back down after riding high.

The one team suffering from this scheduling choice is Tennessee. They could use an easy win or two right now..
