He's pronouncing the "z" Spain-style with the lisp. It's annoying I hate when gringos do that. (I'm part Spaniard and lived in Spain for 2 years) It's annoying when non-speakers do it because it's too strong of a "th" like Daffy Duck lmao. It's more subtle in Spanish. Haha yes it just sounds super forced and "trying too hard". When we're talking in English about historical Spanish figures like Cabeza de Vaca or García Lorca, or even modern figures like Zapatero, we don't feel the need to use "ceceo" on Cabeza and García and Zapatero. Just no. |
