In the MT St. match Claire did 1 rotation with EMP in the front row and Bush (and then Wilmes in set 3) did 2 rotations with EMP in the front row. Does that put Bush/Wilmes in the OH1 slot or OH2? Never got that one. From another thread: "the L1 is placed behind the setter one rotation in a traditional 5-1 so that this hitter is in the front with the setter for 2 rotations." Thanks for the clarification! I guess that makes Bush (or Wilmes) the L1 for the matches yesterday. Seems odd not to have Hoffman in that role, but maybe they like having Hoffman available as a back row attacker when EMP is up front?

Huskies win first set against BSU 25-13 with Endsley leading the way.

Box score just showed Dani subbing in. Can that be right?

Can't be right. I'm inclined to think that Crenshaw isn't playing either, even though the box shows her as playing in the first set.

I was thinking that as far as volleyball is concerned the PAC losing USC and UCLA doesn't look like such a bad thing. Now only if San Diego and Pepperdine would switch allegiance we could be sitting pretty.

Boy, somebody must have gotten into Summers ear, she sure is attacking the net. What is that 8 ba's now.

Not an option for Bush, since she's being subbed out. Hoffman has mostly been an L2 at UW and might be less comfortable being the main OOS option.

I don't like stats only either. A few things stand out:
- UW led in digs again for what I believe was the third time in a row; let's hope it's a trend; if Bays is indeed injured and out of commission for a while, everyone will need to step it up on floor defense
- if Bush continued to hit on the left side, she got surprisingly few sets, and hit poorly this morning; I wonder if Cook switched her back to right for this match
- Endsley, OTOH, hit for a high percentage, helping make up for poor efficiency from Hoffman and Bush
- Both middles hit well but I'd like to see them get more sets (less than 20% of total)
All in all, seems like a fairly easy weekend for the Dawgs and a great chance to look at new players.

Serving sequence (Set 1):
Powell (S), Morin (Bush/OH1), Houghton (Summers/MB2), Endsley (OPP), Hoffman (OH2), Wilson (Grote/MB1)
