We're talking about a preconference poll. You're complaining that someone didn't rank the B1G team high enough for you. The comment you replied to said "Wisconsin at 6 and Nebraska are 7 and osu at 9 are all extremely fair" and your response was "I just respect that they actually prove themselves year in and year out." and to mock the poster who said that. Was your response intended to be a non-sequitor, bc it seemed that way to me. It's good to know that your strongest argument for ranking the B1G teams high seems to be that you like the B1G bc your team is in that conference. Not once did I complain-not once. I pointed out on a post that had B1G teams ranked lower than what I thought they deserved by someone who ANNUALLY does not hide the fact they hate the B1G-and it was stated with humor. And then all of this occurred, without me ONCE complaining about any ranking. The comment I replied to was how I love the B1G-how are you going to tell me what my comments are directed at? You have completely blown this out of proportion. I never once argued it. Ever. You are choosing to argue about something you weren't even involved in from the start. I'm glad you think I put up such a strong argument when I never argued anything at all. My god.. You team have a rough weekend? I'm not sure what my "hate" of the Big 10 has to do with anything, other than if you are actually trying to poke fun. But even then I just don't think it applies here because I substantively and objectively ranked the Big 10 teams. Your bias towards that conference may inflate your perception of those teams, and that's fine, but as others have pointed out, I see nothing wrong with my placement of Big 10 teams for week 5.... do you? Pretty much all of my placement of the Big 10 teams are within 2 or 3 spots of the actual aggregate poll and none of my placement of the Big 10 teams even touch the lowest ranking given.

I'd think sweeping your opponent justifies leapfrogging them in the rankings. What do I know?

I'd think sweeping your opponent justifies leapfrogging them in the rankings. What do I know? Body of work. OSU has wins over #3 and #5 and took a set from Texas. Their worst loss is to #12 Pitt. Pitt has wins over RV, RV, and #5. Their worst loss is to unranked Towson.

I'd think sweeping your opponent justifies leapfrogging them in the rankings. What do I know? Or beating them in four on their home court. It's odd that Stanford is still below Nebraska. Of all polls, I thought VT would fix that.

Someone reading through my notes this week would probably find an uncomfortable comparison between my thought process and Charlie trying to find Pepe Silvia. So yeah... - Texas
- Louisville
- San Diego
- Ohio St.
- Penn St.
- Stanford
- Pittsburgh
- Florida
- Wisconsin
- Nebraska
- Arkansas
- Washington
- Marquette
- Kentucky
- Minnesota
- Georgia Tech
- Oregon
- Baylor
- Rice
- BYU
- Pepperdine
- Purdue
- UCLA
- Utah
- UCF

I'd think sweeping your opponent justifies leapfrogging them in the rankings. What do I know? just because you beat someone doesn't automatically mean they deserve to be ahead of them.. or else when Towson beat Pitt last week..... Towson would have been 10-11 range

11 Minnesota 6 NR (1)Come on Now. I'm guessing they were just forgotten when putting together this person's rankings, but based on the points, adding them in anywhere in the top 25 wouldn't have changed their placement in the overall poll. Easy to do, I forgot about Georgia Tech when writing out the top 20.

I’m the poster who forgot to rank Minnesota. Total over sight on my part. They would of been at 10. I mean they played like an unranked team for a couple sets against Stanford and Pepperdine.

I'd think sweeping your opponent justifies leapfrogging them in the rankings. What do I know? I put Pitt ahead of them for not only beating them but sweeping them. The second set wasn't close either.

Of all polls, I thought VT would fix that. I think the 1st and 4th sets of that game could have gone either way. A few points here and there and Nebraska would be sitting on a 3-1 win. Also the fact that Nebraska hasn't played with an intact line up and we all know what happened last year when they did find that line up. But I feel like either could be interchangeable at this point.
