Nebraska cannot be ranked over Stanford after losing at home … yokes Who are you calling a yoke?

I'd think sweeping your opponent justifies leapfrogging them in the rankings. What do I know? I put Pitt ahead of them for not only beating them but sweeping them. The second set wasn't close either. Are we forgetting Pitt lost to Towson at home?

Or beating them in four on their home court. It's odd that Stanford is still below Nebraska. Of all polls, I thought VT would fix that. I think the 1st and 4th sets of that game could have gone either way. A few points here and there and Nebraska would be sitting on a 3-1 win. Also the fact that Nebraska hasn't played with an intact line up and we all know what happened last year when they did find that line up. But I feel like either could be interchangeable at this point. But Nebraska didn't win those points, they currently do have injuries and aren't playing with an "intact line up", and this isn't last year. Is your poll not about how you feel about these teams now? I mean, it's not like we are comparing a "surprise" win of an unranked team over a ranked team (like Towson over Pitt), we are comparing two top 10 teams that just played each other, and Stanford won, despite the huge home court advantage Nebraska had, and the scoreline could have easily been bigger but for Stanford's insane amount of service errors. I see little justification to have Nebraska above Stanford this week.

See? She has Nebraska at #3. Makes perfect sense.

I see little justification to have Nebraska above Stanford this week. Yes Stanford gave Nebraska a ton of points on SE's, but considering that was Stanford's line up against an unknown Nebraska line up, it just reminds me of last year when Nebraska went 6-3 pre conference trying to figure out their line up, and then ended up in the National Championship match. It's like a repeat of that and I'm definitely not forgetting that Nebraska's roster is stacked with a who's who of high school AA's and AVCA AA's as well, lol. I think if Stanford beats Nebraska 3 out of 5 matches, I would give the Card the nod. But that's just me.

I cant disagree with her rankings (for once!) I can. I'm pretty sure just this past week Stanford won @ Nebraska, despite giving Nebraska almost an entire set worth of service errors, and Florida won @ Wisconsin (almost sweeping them). What's the point of a weekly power poll if you don't reflect teams close to each other in ranking actually winning against other teams, on the road no less?
