Yes Stanford gave Nebraska a ton of points on SE's, but considering that was Stanford's line up against an unknown Nebraska line up, it just reminds me of last year when Nebraska went 6-3 pre conference trying to figure out their line up, and then ended up in the National Championship match. It's like a repeat of that and I'm definitely not forgetting that Nebraska's roster is stacked with a who's who of high school AA's and AVCA AA's as well, lol. I think if Stanford beats Nebraska 3 out of 5 matches, I would give the Card the nod. But that's just me. so, to be clear, your ranking isn't who you think the best teams are for week 5, it's who you think the best teams eventually will be sometime in mid December? Let's say a combination of things

Logan Tom, "A few points here and there" describes most of the top ten teams winning or losing, maybe.

yes her opinions can be pretty chaotic, but she gets props this week in my opinion. I cant disagree with her rankings (for once!) I can. I'm pretty sure just this past week Stanford won @ Nebraska, despite giving Nebraska almost an entire set worth of service errors, and Florida won @ Wisconsin (almost sweeping them). What's the point of a weekly power poll if you don't reflect teams close to each other in ranking actually winning against other teams, on the road no less? So it doesn’t matter that Nebraska lost 2 deuce sets to Stanford BUT it DOES matter that Florida (almost* swept ) Wisconsin. K.

Firstly, I think getting wins @ Nebraska and @ Wisconsin are, in of itself, a good argument for Stanford over Nebraska and Florida over Wisconsin in this weeks poll. HCA can count for 1-3 points per set alone. As for the actual play, in particular for Stanford/Nebraska, the deuce sets were mostly because of Stanford's service errors, not because Nebraska was playing well on their side of the net. As explained in the Stanford thread, when Stanford actually kept the ball in play, Nebraska wasn't siding out at a particularly high percentage in the sets they lost. As for Florida, my only comment about almost being swept was that they had just won -21, -18, and Wisconsin avoided the sweep by winning a duece set beyond 25. They were legit 2 points away from a rather convincing sweep.

Florida finally above Kentucky. I thought this since seeing both play in week one.
It will be a very tight race between them for the SEC, especially if Arkansas or anyone else throws an upset result into the mix.

Michella Chester isn't a voter in our committee...no need to spam this thread with her idiotic opinoins. yes her opinions can be pretty chaotic, but she gets props this week in my opinion. I cant disagree with her rankings (for once!) What if she just came on VT and checked out the poll and then moved a couple teams around to have her top 10 not look exactly like the VT top 10? Seems like a pretty easy gig just posting her top 10 an hour later! LMAO ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Penn State gets more props from VT than from AVCA. Go figure. They way their season had been written off by mid-july, I’m actually shocked.

Or beating them in four on their home court. It's odd that Stanford is still below Nebraska. Of all polls, I thought VT would fix that. I think the 1st and 4th sets of that game could have gone either way. A few points here and there and Nebraska would be sitting on a 3-1 win. Also the fact that Nebraska hasn't played with an intact line up and we all know what happened last year when they did find that line up. But I feel like either could be interchangeable at this point. VT poll top 25 poll or as it may become better known “The shoulda coulda woulda poll”. Or maybe “Here’s my favorite teams” TH with everyone else: or maybe “Oops i forgot about them Poll”! VT’rs espond their dislike of coaches poll and start there own!! And its proof humans voting are fallible! Good luck all💪🏽💪🏽
