I don't think this Minn team is that bad. But they were messy tonight, and Purdue was in-system enough for the take down. Impressed with Hudson. They've looked messy pretty much every game. They're just not a top 10 or even top 15 team yet. And I wish the coaches would rank them appropriately so they have something to fight for. Agreed. Honestly if we keep this up we’re fringe top 20. We literally haven’t looked good against anyone besides TCU and Baylor. And maybe Texas minus all the service errors.. We didn’t even look good in the wins against Oregon, Florida or Wazzou… and we looked awful against Stanford, Pepperdine, and now Purdue.

When is Arica Davis going to get a chance? I feel like she's quicker on lateral defense than our other middles. If not, can she play DS?

Our DS options would be Gray, McGhie or Wurcherer over a middle.

I think she should get a chance in the middle but I’m not convinced it would make much of a difference with the passing.. We need to try Mir Wucherer, Ng, Gray, or even Hanson or Crowl in the back. Can they be that much worse?

Something needs to change. Get Kilkelly out of there, I don't know if we have a suitable replacement but you have to try something at this point. I don't know what to do about CC. She seems to be phoning it in on her last season. Jenna on the right is not working. Get to work Hugh, you have a lot of work to do. Hugh doesn’t care. He’ll say it’s the big ten and you play tough teams every night. He’s the most hesitant coach to make decisions ever. Any other coach would be purring Skylar Gray in, having Ng or Wucherer play backrow, putting McGhie in, literally ANYTHING. It’s obviously not working and Hugh is just banking on them figuring it out instead of changing things up… speaking of Hugh and his avoidance of ballsy decisions, I hope Miranda Wurcherer sees the court for atleast ONE set before the season ends. Obviously Shaffmaster is unbeatable, but Miranda ran such a great offense at Northern Kentucky and id love to see how it goes in game for Minnesota. Maybe against Rutgers or Maryland. Unlikely but still hopeful.

I haven't seen Wurcherer, Ng, or Gray ever play so I have no idea if they can hang in the back or not.

They're a a definite tournament team, but at this early juncture not a likely conference champion. That should actually be a mental boost - giving them the freedom to play around with things and make the season about getting better by the time of the tournament. But, I of course can't know their mindset. Does Hugh think that this version of the team is it and it simply hasn't fired on all cylinders yet?

That'll be a rock fight that both teams need, for sure. Honestly think that the Badgers get the W. But we can talk again after itz over.

I wish BTN would get their facts right. Purdue knocked off a top 10 Minnesota in Holloway back in 2017. They beat Minnesota and Wisconsin in back-to-back nights. (I was there and it was electric.) Me too 😳 a fabulous weekend of volleyball 🏐 Megan Renner and Emma Ellis were high juniors sitting in row in front of me 😁 two of my favorite Boilermakers 🚂

I sure hope this sweep is a f**king wake up call for these girls! They can play much much better than this. Did they hit the snooze after Stanford and Pepperdine?
