Multi tasking is not a good thing. it’s just interesting. Personally some of the Texas fans on here are like the only reason I Root for them to lose. I love fleck Logan halter and skinner It's how you justify and rationalize your hate; nothing new. That's okay. Your immature logic coincides with your 20-ish age.

Depends how we do this weekend. As high as #3, as low as (RV). what is (RV)? (Forgive my ignorance) This confused me as well, back in the day. There's a learning curve to the VT jargon.

I give money to the athletic department, have season tickets and my spouse works there and still I find myself rooting for and against them alternatively because of the people on this board. Am I a true fan? Yes, but between Jerrett and horns1 and others it's challenging.

Because Texas is arrogant and owns it. Many (especially on this board) like to hide their arrogance (and do a horrific job of it) behind some fictitious veil of that’s against our Midwestern sensibilities. That also carries to the teams they root for. My player can stare your player down ( that’s just being intense) but how dare Texas be so arrogant and stare down my team. Have you guys watched international ball? The fire, fierceness and attitude of the teams that dominate. I think culturally, the USA doesn't have that, but all the other international teams do. From what I have observed, they are incredibly nice off the court, they are generous and humble. on the court is a different deal, is that the arrogance is being condemned? I am just reflecting on a topic I have never been able to fully understand. I never understood why people condemned the Texas players as arrogant do they know they're good? do they get fired up and in their opponent's faces at an acceptable level? sure. but I don't see that as bad in any way and frankly it's fun to watch them go out there and compete. when they lose, they consistently credit their opponents for playing well (unlike others) and show a lot of respect *after* the match is over. at times I feel like a lot of this just stems from people subconsciously wanting to police female behavior on the court, and also that it's Texas. our team consistently being the most diverse at the top level of college volleyball probably plays a role too.

You rationalize YOUR behavior in a way that makes sense to you.

They have the facts behind them to feel pretty secure about their history in the program, just like Nebraska does, so I truly don't understand why Texas gets punished for it? If we wanted to dig deeper in the observation, it's a diverse program historically, so maybe seeing those girls out there killing it stings to a different note? I am just reflecting on a topic I have never been able to fully understand. Its mainly the people on this board. Lol The players seem to get along fine after the matches IMO, even intense highly contested matches. I recall in 2020 Devyn Robinson and Skylar Fields we’re really going after each other shot for shot, stare for stare but I don’t think that carries over to post match relationships. Which is good. Texas and Nebraska last year was about as intense as you can get in an NCAA volleyball match and it didn’t stop 2 Nebraska players from transferring to Texas later.

I agree here with nel. : most of the arrogance “in my experience”, is with the fan base not the players. It certainly is not unusual for players to go head to head anf then be great friends later!

We seem to have different definitions of the word "beat". Beat means taking 3 sets off Texas. Nobody has demonstrated that yet. If you're just talking about losing sets, <shrug> tOSU did that on our second match. Of course Texas might be beatable. They're not invincible. But that's not what the OP or Donut said My takeaway from tonight's match is that noone has yet proven that Texas can be beat. The OP didn't say anything though. It's weird logic, at best. Should have just said "my takeaway is that Texas is still undefeated!" Especially given tonight's match gives support to the notion that Texas can be beat, it's just a weird, out of place, observation to turn around and say "no one has yet proven that Texas can be beat." An observation you could technically make about... every game Texas has played so far? If Texas fans want their undefeated chant to be "no one has proven they can beat us yet," don't let me stop you though. Whose undefeated chants are you talking about? I haven't seen or heard it on this board - if you want to pick a fight, do it with an actual fact. Don't make up stuff that we aren't doing. But if we had a chant, it would be "We are undefeated!" Because that is, at the moment, 100% true.

Texas and Nebraska last year was about as intense as you can get in an NCAA volleyball match and it didn’t stop 2 Nebraska players from transferring to Texas later. Maybe they were hate transfers. Like in a soap opera where two characters hate each other so much they end up sleeping together. I believe scientists call it a love-hate relationship. Probably that's the case here.

Or maybe they secretly hated Nebraska and jumped ship at the earliest opportunity🤷♂️😉

I love fleck Logan halter and skinner I agree with this take, that bad fan behavior is what causes hatred more than the actual team players. And every team on this board has their zealot who takes it too far. No need to name names...
