I know it's just Riverside, but 60 digs for the Bows. Ikenaga with 17. Caylen a d Amber errorless nights. .240 for Wagner, I'll take it!!! And Edmonds with 11 digs and a perfect 3.0 passing

The good thing is that the team didn’t give up in the second set, but they shouldn’t have been down that much in the first place.

I mean wasn't Talia passing better than Ikenaga. If the stats suggest that she's outplaying Ikenaga again, why not try her at libero bc from the eye test Tayli is mess at times.

Brae daring Annika to knock those 2 kills and .125 hitting off her shoulder. And that’s a big ask! Lol

It's interesting to come home to see the match stats. Hawaii played better than I thought they did, especially given they were down by 8 points in the 2nd set. I was kind of dreading to see what Wagoner hit given that she had so many errors in the first 2 sets, but she pulled herself to a reasonable hitting percent for the night. The offense and defense are looking pretty good, but we'll see how that holds up against the upper conference teams. A lot of service errors tonight, especially from Alexander. Given that she is the best server for Hawaii, she has to keep the ball in. I think she commit 3 straight service errors, but that seems more like an anomaly.
Hifo was really fun to watch. Good setter and super aggressive on offense. Really sneaky with her dump shots and it makes sense given that Riverside doesn't have the offensive weapons to keep up, so she has to be crafty and take chances. They are usually at the bottom of the conference, but I do hope she gets an honorable mention for the conference awards.
The only comment I have on the double sub in the 3rd set is that my guess is Ah Mow wanted to give Byrd reps with Igiede. I also wanted to see de Goede get an attempt, but my guess is that Byrd was instructed to keep going to Igiede so they have in game reps in the event anything happens to Lang.

Happy to see this Hawaii team (especially our outsides) did not play down to their opponents level. UCR is scrappy and I think they will continue to improve.
