terry was playing out of her mind tonight, gets 3 straight kills with TOUGH OOS sets and as soon as she gets in the back row we don’t give her a CHANCE? i get it, maybe they would’ve expected it and stuffed her. but shes been hitting through triple blocks, why not give her another chance??? watching as a setter is so painful to see decisions like that made. typical illinois night.

It was cool to see the Purdue team run up the bleachers and thank the Boiler Block Party for coming. It’s usual during home games, but I never saw them do it at an away game.

Illinois really scared Purdue tonight. Purdue played so well in the first half and then just played flat in the 4th set. Illinois showed where Purdue was weak and Purdue will be better for it. I will for sure be watching the Illinois Vs. Wisconsin match. Illinois will win some upsets.

Eva Hudson is a joy to watch. I'm going hate/love watching her for the next couple of years.
Question: does she get served that much every match? ILL was targeting her and she definitely held her own.

Eva Hudson is a joy to watch. I'm going hate/love watching her for the next couple of years. Question: does she get served that much every match? ILL was targeting her and she definitely held her own. I think that she has been picked on, on serve receive. I don’t know about officially though…numbers wise. She hasn’t had the strongest defensive game. But she is getting better and better. I think that this may be her first double double. I may be wrong though. |

She doesn't get served as much as Illinois did tonight because Purdue is usually able to pull her out of serve receive a little more when Schermerhorn is on the court. Typically Purdue can pass with two (Schermerhorn/Hornung) in the rotations Hudson's front row but it's kind of hard to do that against Illinois's serving. But I'm proud of Eva for not getting rattled. |
