COL offense and USC offense are both strong, but COL generally is more consistent (besides Hadrych) and has better defense. This is for COL to win or lose.

How is USC’s setting? It’s hard for me to see a team with Fields on the outside losing… I thought USC would be top 15 this year.

Tuaniga has good stats but I am not a huge fan of the system -at least when I saw it in person a few weeks ago. The sets are too tight IMO. Players seem to be getting blocked a lot. The connections in the middle aren’t there. USC is down a key MB right now and that isn’t helping their blocking. Passing is an issue. Trubint is OK, but the rest of them (not the DSs but the front row players and Fields when back row too) are iffy.

USC looks all over the place and messy. They have great talent that can really damage other teams once they find some consistency and meshing as a team.
Colorado's Hadrych was sick/injured for a few games and APPEARS to be back to normal after her great performance against ASU on Sunday. With good defense, great middle blocker/hitter performance and good fundamentals... CU has won with one of their OH's hitting horribly and the other doing okay/good in the last 3 matches. If BOTH OH's are playing okay (not even great or good) and the rest of the team does what they have been, then Colorado wins the match.

Would be nice if she learns to tool. On the other hand CU is really good on blocking tight sets. They struggle when the other teams sets are off getting tooled. CU is much improved at serve receive however I remember USC being a very aggressive serving team so it will be a good test.

Their worst performance, IMO, both Fields and Weske were off and the passing wasn’t good enough to use the MBs. Wilson has been somewhat hot and cold. A USC team will three pins firing at a high clip is scary. But I am not sure it has happened yet
