Baylor did not schedule well enough to be dropping matches they should win in conference. and that win over Wisconsin is slowly dwindling as the Badgers have struggled baylor 40 in the RPI with an SOS of 139

My point with the post is that stat broadcast was mistaken by declaring it match point instead of set point. But I was pretty subtle about it, so I don't blame you for not catching it. I've seen that in numerous matches in stat broadcast (and/or other live stats, I don't really keep track which stats program is used) I don't know if there is a setting in the software for best-of-3/best-of-5 that places just aren't toggling right, or if it is merely user error. neither situation would surprise me.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that a team only has 1 true road match the entire preseason. Heck, I'm used to following a team that sometimes only has 1 or 2 home matches in the preseason. I find it quite satisfying that they have lost both their road matches thus far. Karma.
Seeing an outside get 20 kills hitting .410 was quite impressive. But ISU's service errors drove me crazy. anyway, cool to see a team that I saw my team beat go on to upset a ranked team.

They played 5 matches away/neutral before hosting the two home tournaments they do every year. Wisconsin and Minnesota had 2, one being at the same tournament that Baylor was at. This is the nature of the Big 12/Big 10 challenge. Nebraska had only 1 true road match as well.

In Baylor's defense they had the toughest schedule in the nation last year with 8 of their 10 nonconference away from home, including Minnesota, Wisconsin. Florida x 2, and Pitt. This year McGuire has arguably the youngest team in the country with 5 freshman playing in 40+ sets so far. They're not expected to be a top 16 type team. It's a testament to his coaching and the talent of those freshmen that they're playing as well as they are. It's not like McGuire habitually ducks out of challenges in the offseason. He just didn't have the veteran laden team he had last year.

Nebraska had only 1 true road match as well. They played at Creighton, and at Kentucky. That's 2. (but I hate Nebraska as a rule anyway)

They still have Rice, KU x2, Texas x2. Arizona State and Colorado State were probably expected to be better wins than they are now.

They are actually ahead of Baylor in current RPI.
