Whatever happened at Louisiana- Monroe?
First, they failed to land big fish.
Then rumor was they were reaching out to female DI asst, but could not get any to move from decent programs because offer was less than their current salaries.
When that didn't work, they moved into formal search process and had finalists on campus at least 2 weeks ago.

Any updates on Union in Tennessee? One of the older postings without any announcement as of yet, especially since they had an interim coach for only this past fall. they had it down to a final 2 and their primary candidate declined the offer. Really disappointed, he's a good coach (former Div 1 coach). The other candidate is not going to be Offered the position apparantly. The retiring AD has completely screwed this whole process. By the time Union realized it and pulled him off the process more than one strong candidate had backed away. The head women's bball coach has been hired as the new AD, which is a very good move for union, but he is in season and wasn't as involved as he needed to be until it was too late. At this point it appears that the assistance will get the job. She played at Union I believe and has been the assistant for a few years. You nailed this one! uuathletics.com/news/2023/2/10/womens-volleyball-union-university-promotes-kristen-blackburn-to-volleyball-head-coach.aspx

Former SIII Franklin Pierce Raven head coach Stephanie Dragan is new head coach at DII Coker University in South Carolina. Odd that there has been official announcement since it happened about 2 weeks ago and she is already on the job. Extremely uninspired hire. Things were not as they were presented to be at Raven Nation Out of morbid curiosity, how are things not as they are presented to be in Raven-Land? It's a miserable place; in the middle of nowhere, in a region not known for quality volleyball. The college has maybe 1000 students, 70% of them athletes, with awful facilities and only a couple majors. Also, the joke there is they have an admissions test: you have to write your name, and if you get 70%, they admit you. Under those circumstances, it's amazing Steph lasted as long as she did and was as successful as she was.

I've heard it is one of the most scenic campuses in the country. You are right there, so I believe you but it still makes me chuckle.

So many players (former and current) as well as family members would vehemently disagree on the success and their treatment.

Sorry you didnt get the role you wanted on the team... Sometimes it be like that... For the record, am neither player nor family member. Just have numerous, extremely credible sources. And what has been shown (with documented proof) would really shed a lot of light. And my follow up posts were responses to someone that asked.

It is always fascinating when a person solely posts about a coach. If you have credible documented proof we would love to see it. But to continually post about her doesn’t make people view her the way you think it does.

ULM and S. Indiana seem to be taking forever. Going on 2 months for UNC Asheville as well. Seems like it's becoming the norm that the salary is so low... I wonder why it's still taking so long to fill some of these spots if candidates know that's what's coming.
