Wasn't well liked/respected by players and supporting staff. Too childish.

That would certainly spice things up this year. Maybe Hambly would be interested?

Disclaimer: ALL speculation. Any chance Dawn Sullivan is heading back to her alma modern (K State) and Cursty is headed back to lead UNLV? And maybe Kim Hill is taking Jordan Larson's lead and heading back to pro ball?

That’s the pinnacle job in women’s volleyball. Nebraska is the only other school possibly in that conversation. Why would Hambly leave a top job that consistently can play for a NC, to go build UCLA? That makes no sense.

Looks like they posted for an Assistant too: uscjobs.sc.edu/postings/135830Is it normal to not let a Head Coach pick their staff? The Head Coach application page is still active, so I wouldn't think they've hired.

I'm not trying to sound like Yoda and he would have said that backwards. The posting for an assistants is to work within HR rules to allow new HC to hire quicker once HC's are officially hired. Otherwise, the new HC would have to jump through HR hoops and then wait the required HR timeframe before they could hire assistants. This needs to be pinned to all Jobs threads.

Manhattan, KS < Las Vegas Indeed, but Big 12 > Mountain West There is also always something exciting about “coming home” to your Alma Mater to lead the program you played in
