This is one job and there wil be other duties within athletic department

That's actually pretty legit for a Juco assistant. Absolutely. I think the issue with most assistant positions has always been the fact that it's very difficult to pay for housing with such low pay. But if housing is provided then I think that makes a position like this more realistic. Life is expensive. Assistants should be taken care of adequately. |

Really tough place to recruit, AD is pretty much absent. Looks like they only have 8 people on the team and the previous coach was taller than all of the players. I also noticed that they hold open tryouts every year. That is not very common at schools unless they have significant issues recruiting. NJCAA Two-Year Colleges typically have tryouts every year. They are allowed to have up to two per year by NJCAA Rule. FWIW - Coastal Bend job salary is a little north of 45K. |

Also someone mentioned $25k for a juco assistant. That's $10k more than I was paid as a head coach where I was at. |

It would assume she would be offered the position or at least be a front runner. But then again, not everyone wants to be a HC. It's been odd seeing so many HC departures midseason. |

Pitt at Johnstown (Division 2)’s coach was let go a few weeks ago and brought back a former coach as an interim.
